|---|---|---|---|
Express Entry Priority Sectors — Aviation | 56 | 22 |
Alberta Opportunity Stream(AOS) | 54 | 123 |
Express Entry Priority Sectors — General | 64 | 200 |
|---|---|
| Priority Sector Draws and Other Initiatives | 3 |
| Tourism and Hospitality | 15 |
| Accelerated Tech | 91 |
| Alberta Opportunity Stream | 457 |
其中,Priority Sector Draws and Other Initiatives仅剩3个名额,Tourism and Hospitality仅剩15个名额,值得相关申请人及顾问重点关注。

Alberta’s AAIP Allocation Tightens: Only 1,062 Nomination Spaces Remain as of October 7
As of October 7, 2026, the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) had issued 5,541 nominations against its annual allocation of 6,603, leaving 1,062 nomination spaces. The program also reported 948 applications in process.
Compared with the previously reported total of 5,221 nominations issued, this represents an increase of 320 nominations. The remaining annual allocation has consequently declined from 1,382 to 1,062 spaces. Applicants considering an Alberta nomination should use the updated figures when assessing their timelines and the availability of spaces in their intended category.
Three Draw Updates
The official page published the following three draws that were not covered in the earlier daily report:
| Draw date | Program | Minimum Worker EOI score | Invitations issued |
|---|---|---|---|
| October 7, 2026 | Express Entry Priority Sectors — Aviation | 56 | 22 |
| October 2, 2026 | Alberta Opportunity Stream (AOS) | 54 | 123 |
| September 29, 2026 | Express Entry Priority Sectors — General | 64 | 200 |
These are Alberta Worker Expression of Interest (EOI) scores, not federal Express Entry Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores. The two scoring systems cannot be directly compared. A previous draw’s minimum score also does not guarantee an invitation in a future round.
Annual Allocation and Remaining Spaces by Category
The AAIP reported the following figures as of October 7:
| Measure | Number |
|---|---|
| 2026 nomination allocation | 6,603 |
| Nominations issued | 5,541 |
| Remaining nomination spaces | 1,062 |
| Applications in process | 948 |
Remaining spaces were particularly limited in several categories:
| Category | Remaining spaces |
|---|---|
| Priority Sector Draws and Other Initiatives | 3 |
| Tourism and Hospitality | 15 |
| Accelerated Tech | 91 |
| Alberta Opportunity Stream | 457 |
The three remaining spaces under Priority Sector Draws and Other Initiatives, and the 15 remaining under Tourism and Hospitality, deserve particular attention from applicants and their representatives.
These figures reflect the published remaining nomination allocations; they do not indicate how many new applications can still be submitted. The AAIP reserves the right to reallocate spaces. The current figures alone therefore do not establish that a category is closed or that no further invitations will be issued.
Invitations and nominations also represent different stages of the process. Receiving an invitation does not mean an applicant has received a nomination. Invitation totals should not be directly deducted from the remaining nomination allocation, and applications in process should not simply be subtracted from remaining spaces to estimate capacity for new applications.
For clients considering Alberta’s Priority Sector pathways, application timelines and nomination prospects should be reassessed using the October 7 figures. Planning should no longer rely on September allocation data.
The assessment should account for each client’s current stage: preparing a Worker EOI, already in the candidate pool, holding an invitation, or awaiting a decision on a submitted application. The implications differ across these stages.
Recent minimum EOI scores offer historical context, but planning should also consider the remaining allocation in the relevant category and subsequent official updates. As the annual allocation becomes more limited, applicants and Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants (RCICs) should review timelines, manage expectations, and assess other available pathways.
