加拿大工作经验年限分数,加上符合条件的高薪职业经验额外分数;

Express Entry Changes Take Effect November 3: High-Wage Occupation Points and New Job Offer Rules

On October 16, IRCC announced changes to Express Entry’s CRS scoring and job offer assessment, effective November 3, 2026. Existing profiles will be rescored. Recalculation may take up to two weeks, during which invitation rounds will pause.

1. A New Labour Market Integration Factor

Candidates will receive the higher score from either:

Canadian work experience duration, plus eligible high-wage occupation experience points; or

A qualifying job offer in a high-wage occupation.

The two options cannot be combined. Maximum scores are 150 without an accompanying spouse or partner and 140 with one. Existing Canadian experience duration points are included—not supplemented by an automatic 150-point bonus.

Occupational wage levelAdditional Canadian experience points*Job offer points
At least 2 times the national benchmark70100
At least 1.5 times, below the higher tier4070
At least 1.3 times, below the higher tiers2050

*Experience points require at least 12 months of qualifying Canadian experience meeting the applicable tier’s requirements. Tiers are not cumulative.

Eligibility follows IRCC’s NOC occupation list, not the candidate’s individual salary.

2. LMIA Requirements Change, but Verification Remains

From November 3, qualifying job offers will no longer require an LMIA for CRS points. IRCC also announced a temporary public policy covering related LMIA and LMIA-exemption requirements for eligible FSW/FST candidates invited on or after that date.

Program eligibility and CRS points remain separate. An offer outside the high-wage list may support program eligibility without earning job offer points. Officers will still assess its genuineness.

These EE changes do not create a general LMIA exemption for temporary work permits.

3. Review Your Profile

Candidates seeking job offer points should check their information before November 3. Follow IRCC’s effective dates and transitional instructions; do not enter placeholder LMIA information early. Candidates already invited or awaiting a PR decision should not assume retrospective application.
